EN - All the religions of the world are linked by a profound feeling of community; in the union of intentions by single individuals aimed at the common good of the community.
One could therefore think of religion, not only as a set of rites or manifestations of a cult rich in tools, icons, simulacra and objects in which the divine is present, but as a multitude of signs and tools that express this sense of community. In this field of investigation the reflection on the Aurea project has begun.
Aurea is a tray for the collection of offerings made entirely of briccola wood, a material that lends itself perfectly to the creation of this object since it will be the center of the briccola, the heart that remains immune to external attacks to guard the sacrifice of the community. Its circular shape is not only functional to accommodate offers but recalls, in its longitudinal section, one of the main symbols of the city of Venice, the gondola, whose profile by rotation generates the shape of the tray.
From the formal point of view, Aurea exploits the arrangement of the natural concentric circles of a briccola that give life to the object; its main components (tray and cover) are also arranged to form circumferences that are distanced from each other according to proportions taken from the idea of the section that governs the formal laws of nature, the golden section.
